Eat FAT to lose FAT

Look at a standard American food pyramid by the FDA. You will see that people are told from day one to stay away from fats and focus on carbs and protein as your main source of fuel. Despite many people following this, cancer, disease, and heart attacks seem to be on the rise and it makes me very curious. Why should carbs be the backbone of our diet? These processed breads, cereals, grains, pastas, and prepackaged bars are man made foods and are not naturally occurring in nature. These foods are plastered with added sugar and colorings, yet marketed as "healthy" which seems insane.

The body needs two things to survive. The first is essential fatty acids from FAT to regulate hormone function which is very important. The second is essential amino acids from protein to maintain strength and muscle tissue. There is NO SUCH THING as an essential carbohydrate. You body physically does not need carbs to survive. In fact, your body treats sugar as a poison in the blood. Insulin, which is the most anabolic hormone in the body (cue for growth of cells including fat increase) and is designed to flush all glucose out of the blood stream. If insulin would not carry out this job, the person would die. This is scary because people are constantly told to make 60% of their diet come from carbohydrates. Why would FDA be telling us this information? It comes down to pharmaceutical companies needing to profit. The government makes money off of sick people, not healthy people. Switch your diet. This will change your overall health and fat loss.

Make FAT the backbone of your diet instead of carbohydrates. This is called the ketogenic diet. It consists of 75% of your daily calorie intake from fat, 20% from protein, and only 5% from carbs which you will get through fiber and green veggies. This forces your body to use ketones (fat) as fuel instead of sugar. The only reason experts claim that carbs are your preferred source of energy in because they are burned first when in the body. However, the only reason carbs are burned first is because the body treats them as a poison and they are REQUIRED to be burned first as primary energy to rid the toxin out of the body.

Benefits of the ketogenic diet would be increased cognition, clearer skin, stronger workouts, better blood markers, lower risk of caner and disease, lower risk of diabetes, and lower risk for depression. People need to be aware of the false information they are receiving by the FDA.
